Meyer, Inc. has collaborated with the Garden State Discovery Museum to develop a new, touch screen, interactive program with a newspaper theme. Paige's Newsroom is designed to allow visitors of children's museums to become a newspaper reporter by writing and printing the article along with the reporter's photo. The program leads the novice reporter through the steps in writing a newspaper report while teaching terms like headline, byline, etc. Reporters can choose to use a pre-written news article, use a "fill in the blanks" article, or write their own article from scratch. Once the article is complete, the system's camera takes a photo of the reporter and prints the article, with the photo, on paper displaying the newspaper's mast head. Paige's Newsroom is designed to be sponsored by a local newspaper or by a corporate donation. The sponsor's name and logo can be incorporated into the program and the mast head can be pre-printed onto the paper used for printing. The kiosk housing can also be branded and as in the case of the Garden State Discovery Museum, the printer can be housed in a newspaper vending machine. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available as "ads" on the pre-printed paper. Your sponsor will not only get exposure in the museum, but as each reporter display's his or her article on their home refrigerator, a lasting impression can be achieved. The price of this game includes implementation of your pre-written stories and fill-in-the-blanks story. Additional customization is available and includes insertion of sponsor's name, logo and masthead, voiceover changes to suit your organization, layout of printed page with additional advertising.
